Beginner tips
- Take the tour. The Sunday tour shows you the pantry, tap, stove, truck and town.
- Stock up early. Get cash from the bank and food from FoodMart before limits and empty shelves hit.
- Fill water while the tap runs. City water fails after the power does.
- Board the windows and keep firewood stacked before the cold sets in.
- Make friends. Traders, the church and your neighbors can keep you going when supplies run low.
Scoring and the Hall of Survivors
Your score is days survived ×10, plus 100 for surviving all 20 days, plus 50 for each homestead need you meet (food, water, warmth, power, security), plus family health, plus the barter value of everything you own (survivors only, up to 500). The total is multiplied by difficulty: Hard ×1.5, Medium ×1.2, Easy ×1. Survive all 20 days to enter a 4-character name in the Hall of Survivors.
To start over, open the pause menu, choose SAVE & QUIT TO TITLE, then pick NEW GAME.
